Non Usals Motor set up problem ?

Hi Guys

Only problem i now have is to attempt to set up my motor settings and i have had the same problem when i first set it up and never really resolved it.

I have gone into Setup/Service Searching/Positioner setup and in there i can press the red TUNE button and select the sat i want to search for...... Now here's my problem only 28 and 19 degs east are appearing ??

Does anyone know what i need to do to get the other satellites to be listed after i press that red TUNE button ??

Until i can get them to appear there i have no way of searching for them...

(and no i am unable to use Usals guys)

If anyone can answer my problem it would be greatly appreciated as it is a tad fustrating i have tried ..

think you need to set tuner config to advanced,

select required sats, and set to lnb 1

set the diasque mode to 1.2 and set "use USALs for this sat" to no

I would save 28 east to 028
19 east to 019
13 to 013 and so on

this is all done in tuner config

download a channel list via plugins ( i prefer catseye listings )

then go to motor setup,

find the sats you require, and save there positions as above

To be honest i peed about with my 10 year old ( but still fully working ) DiSEqC 1.2 non usals motor for almost a year trying to get it just rite with the duo until i just gave up and bought a TM2600 from the sponsor. it's way more chew than it's worth.

after thought...is the motor a 36 volt motor used with a V Box??

Hi Basily thanks for the reply i do have catseye settings loaded.

(No its not used with VU Box just disecq 1.2)

and think i have set up sats as you suggested but i will take a look and check tommorrow now as i have had enough for tonight ... heads thumping lol.

@ Pheonix, I do have a Usals compatible motor but cant get it to work with usals sadly.

I think i need to re-align my dish.

But i have had it set up as it is now by searching for the sats manually but i can only search for the ones that appear in list after i have hit red Tune button and i only have 19 and 28 East ??

I need to get the others to appear then i can try to tune them manually.

where are you based?? it might be possible for a member to assist you with the alignment, but to be honest, so long as the dish is easily accessable, its not that difficult to sort out

What make of mount is it?

I am based in the channel islands so not many near me i am afraid...

As for the mount i'd have to check. Its one you can drive east and west with a button directly under it, as well as controlling it by the stb.

To be honest its not the mount as i have used it with a spider also and had it running on Duo with more sats but never as many as i am able to receive.

Its definetely a setting or something within the stb.

I only ask as most disec mounts will do usals, even the crappy ones from maplins.
They might not call it usals, gotox is sometimes used but its the same.

Yes TK4, my motor is Usals compatible but sadly my dish isn't aligned to perfection so usals always failt to find sats

At last panic over i managed to get them to appear in the list.

I was disabling Usals and then selecting which position i was going to store them but on exit i wasn't hitting the correct button to exit and it wasn't saving what i'd saved.

Can't believe it was so simple...
