Open Web Interface on latest VIX

for me viedo stremanig over LAN is working both on SD and HD by clicking on the tiny tv in channel list.

what I really miss is the option to add timers via webif. the "not yet implemented" message pops up.
Really openwebif has a really nice inteface compared to webinterface, but I'm wondering why it has been choosed to use the openwebif as deault in the 2.3 VIX that is still in progress and has so many missing functions.

namely Dreambox multimedia and their licenses, it's actually illegal for you to use the dreambox web interface on any thing but a dreambox running the official image, this is why the openweb interface was created in the first place.

It was not by dream them selves but at the time a open source project, the author has since decided he hates every thing not dreambox and decided to impose his license on the plugin. I agree the open web interface is not 100% finished but for a relatively new project it's coming along in great strides and is constantly being developed. which is a great thing for the community as a whole.

As you can see this works quite well also doesn't need all the crap that people use like VLC windows media player works just fine

Not sure why but all of a sudden, when i'm streaming it will play for a few seconds then freeze, Then if i stop and start it will again play for a few seconds and freeze .. This happens on FF and GC using both VLC and WMP.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Mine only does that on HD channels SD is fine

If your HD freezes, try using FF and than going back to the other browsers. I had this with Chrome, tried FF and HD stream worked fine.

Damn me mates. I messed up something i think. Sinc i needed timer by webinterface i tried installing the previous version. So went in plugins to' download it but instead of choosing the one with -old at the end of it's name i choosed the one just listed above it. And soon after i realiste nothing was installed. I then installed the right one but something is conflicting because as soons as i choosed the web port (obviously not the same of openwebif) enigma crashed.
How to' uninstall the wrong webinterface since it' not listed among other plugins?

menu>plugins>red Button and should be in extensions (or if you can remember the folder name you downloaded it from)

I am using FF and streaming multiple channels in HD simultaneously using VLC whilst watching another channel on the box itself, great of the footy so I can watch all the games at the same time.... avvv iittt!!!

May I ask not to use Two letters abbreviation like FF and GC instead of Firefox and google chrome please?
It would be really hard to find a post if we continue using such short words

What build is showing in the information screen?

Chrome does work as I have used it here but the drawback is it saves a file that you than have to click on to open the stream. Whereas with firefox or internet explorer, it will open VLC automatically and stream the channel.

Well I go to the open depositry every day and manually update the files streaming was only fixed in open web interface 2 days ago

Dont use chrome try something like FireFox or Internet Explorer and see if the link opens up asking you to download

uve got something blocking it on ur pc/laptop. what security software you got?

all the correct ports r forwarded to the box as i have no problems accessing the box using android software transcoding via vlc on my server for 3g streaming
