another thing that i noticed is that .jpg files are listed in the movie list. is that a bug or intentional? in other distris those .jpgs are cover files that are not listed in the movie list.

looks like the jpgs are explicitely included when creating the list. but why would someone want pics in a movielist?

if ext in IMAGE_EXTENSIONS:
try:
from Plugins.Extensions.PicturePlayer import ui
Apparently will display in MovieSelection if present and displayable.
Never seen it happen but then I don't keep jpg's etc in my Movie folder

Movieselection is made to be used for recordings. Not for movie library.

no problem... i feel like this is a usability bug, but i will probably not use the movieselection anyway...

What happened to IPTV with 6.8?

E2m3u2bouquet doesn't work anymore?
Systemplugin M3Uiptv creates the Bouquets , but some Bouquets are Not working.
At smartphone-app or TV-app they work,so the iptv-link works well.
But why are half the iptv-Bouquets at 6.8 dark?
Or which prefs i have to change? The prefs of m3uiptv doesn't help.

We need a debug log pr specific iptv configs (on personal message) so to test.
Otherwise i cant say nothing.
All works here for me.

With bouquetmakerxtream is iptv working well again now.

I suppose your config was wrong. But since you not give any more details i cant say more.
When you report issues you must provide details about it.
Just "Don't work" doesn't help!

Thanks to all of the team and techies and enthusiasts for all of the supported images and plugins over the years. Looking at the list, there are more receivers not supported than supported it would seem, and of course this now becomes a factor when purchasing hardware - how long will it be supported. I should have thought the image building was for the most part automated, moreover support should be based on hardware capability. In my case I use EDISION OS-Mio 4K+ It was first available in late 2020, so not many years in support compared to my very old Vu Solo2, which hardly runs these days. I have only ever used OpenViX since I first had a Linux receiver way back when. I see someone is moving to TNAP, but what of the other mainstream images like OpenATV and OpenPLi remain in the "current" support for the EDISION OS-Mio 4K+. Info on this would be helpful.

Well, really not difficult to build your own image!
… but there are images from openpli and openatv

OpenViX does not have any direct or indirect financial support from the manufacturers. Currently, with one week left in the year, we are still £800 short in the donations we need to cover our costs for hosting the forum, downloads, feeds, and build machines. So, yes, cutting back to the 50 machines that we currently support was necessary. The decision on which machines to remove was based on feeds use. So we stopped building machines that are only used by a handful of users. Obviously if a user or group of users offered to sponsor a particular machine it is possible it would be reconsidered.

But anyway those older machines are still supported, you just need to build them. There are instructions how at the enigma repo. You can even build them on a Windows PC in a VM.

Thanks but in fairness looking at the GitHub repo it looks like for starters you need a Linux buildserver which I do not have. As I said in my post, thanks anyway for all of the contributions over the years.

Without endorsing a brand / manufacturer and considering OpenViX support into the future, of the more "budget" units, would one be better off buying PULSe or Zgemma hardware for ongoing build support (or indeed a different manufacturer). Thanks again
