[ET9x00] Openvix or openatv

Hi,

I have an Xtrend et9500 running openvix 5.2045. There has been no updates to this image in a few years.

I have recently installed a DVB-C/T Tuner.

The problem is the tuner only shows up as DVB-C Tuner.

I have been told by the seller to update the software so that the DVB-T Tuner can be configured.

As there are no more openvix updates is it possible if I re-flash the box with the latest openatv software will I be able to configure the DVB-T Tuner?

Having looked at the specs, I can see it was an option from first shipment, so surprised its not supported.
I would back up your settings and probably the image with backupmanager and imagemanager and then download an image from openpli for the et9x00…. I can see they have an image for the 8.1 release.
In terms of Dvb/cable/terrestrial tuner setup , they are pretty close to what you are used to setting up. Openatv have a different implementation

Yes I know. That is my worry. But the seller is adamant that it is a hybrid tuner. I fear is that switching to Openpli will make no difference to how the box views the tuner...
