[VU+ Duo] Playing Internet radio channel?

[rte]

Can I play an Internet radio channel with the receiver's internal media player directly from an url-address?
Is a plugin like SHOUTcast the only way?

Now I finally got it. I have to make a new radio bouquet and add these lines on a bouquet list.
I've seen these guides before but didn't realize where to add the lines.
Thank you, problem solved!

[rte]

I have to ask something more.
If I want to add

http://livestream.srg-ssr.ch/1/rsj/mp3_128

or

http://www.radioswissjazz.ch/live/mp3.m3u

or

http://stream.srg-ssr.ch/rsj/mp3_128.m3u

How do I edit the lines? What are the numbers after url?

#DESCRIPTION Radio Swiss Jazz

[rte]

Now I manged to do it. These are the lines:
#SERVICE 4097:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//livestream.srg-ssr.ch/1/rsj/mp3_128:Radio Swiss Jazz
#DESCRIPTION Radio Swiss Jazz

#DESCRIPTION Radio Swiss Classic

[rte]

This is more complicated than I imagined.
I have tried to edit working lines for some more radio channels without success.
1.FM channels, for example, are a real puzzle. Nothing seems to work.
This seems to be an art itself. Any ideas?

You will need to brush up on your UTF-8 encoding table and Unicode characters. You cannot have - + =: etc in your url. Eg you need to change : with%3a Change - with %2d Change = with %3d

Example 1.FM 90's

#SERVICE 4097:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//tai.egihosting.com%3a80/90s%2d32k%2daac:1.FM 90s

1.FM's Top 40

#SERVICE 4097:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//tai.egihosting.com%3a80/top40%2d32k%2daac:1.FM Top 40's

Its best to use VLC player to open first link in 1fms lists. When url plays, Go to Tools/Media information and copy location.

[rte]

I have managed to add working 1.FM channel texts like this:
#NAME 1.FM (Radio)
#SERVICE 4097:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//tai%2d03.egihosting.com%3a80/adorejazz%2d128k%2dmp3:1.FM - Adore Jazz
#DESCRIPTION 1.FM - Adore Jazz
#SERVICE 4097:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//tai%2d03.egihosting.com/blues%2d256k%2dmp3:1.FM - Blues
#DESCRIPTION 1.FM - Blues
#SERVICE 4097:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//tai%2d02.egihosting.com/reggae%2d128k%2dmp3:1.FM - ReggaeTrade
#DESCRIPTION 1.FM - ReggaeTrade
#SERVICE 4097:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//tai%2d03.egihosting.com/clascountry%2d128k%2dmp3:1.FM - Classic Country
#DESCRIPTION 1.FM - Classic Country
#SERVICE 4097:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//tai%2d03.egihosting.com/oclassical%2d128k%2dmp3:1.FM - Otto's Classical Music
#DESCRIPTION 1.FM - Otto's Classical Music

For other stations like channels
The Penthouse, Smoothjazz, Pure Jazz, The Bluegrass Mix, Public Domain Jazz, Public Domain Classical
I have not managed to create working texts yet.
