PlutoTV plugin, now for OpenViX

It's not working for me. It did last week, but now I'm getting the message 'pluto tv is no longer available on this device'.
I have removed the plugin, rebooted then reinstalled the plugin and rebooted.
I am in France, I have tried using a UK vpn.

well, so far imho the updated plugin is not officially available yet. you would have to download the source files from the git manually.
i just tested france with the updated git code, and it's working.

Hi - I was just wondering what you did with the source files to get the plugin working again? I tried replacing the 4 pyc files in the installed version with the updated new py files from github but get a message about the ‘magic number’ being wrong ie wrong version of py.
Very grateful in advance if you could share what to do with these new files! Thanks

the error message suggests that you replaced the pyc files with the py files. that's not correct. to fix it you delete the pyc files and download the py files as .py files. the .pyc files will be regenerated when you restart enigma2.

That was happening too on my HD51 until I installed 'serviceaap' and 'gstplayer' now all channels and ondemand work perfectly with gstplayer.

I’m not home just now but off the top of my head these two channels were definitely crashing my VU+ Solo2 last night:
US 70’s Cinema
US Pluto Cult Films

Either build the enigma binary yourself, or wait for the next release build.

just tested us 70's cinema live tv channel and it doesnt crash with the latest enigma2.
util a new release is published maxben's workaround should help: installed 'serviceapp' and 'gstplayer'

Still not working for me. I don't have telnet access, or the knowledge to use it. I'm only using the settings via remote. I'll just have to wait for the next plugin upgrade. Hey ho.

I’ve since managed to get 70s cinema playing but then crashes the next time. Serviceapp won’t install and can’t find any mention of gstplayer in plugins.
Guess I’ll have to wait for the new plugin download version. Any ideas when it will be available?

this is strange. when i tried it a short while ago i did not have any problems.
did you you install it from the openvix plugin list? if i recall correctly gstplayer is part of the serviceapp.
