[VU+ Solo2] Problems with Dolby settings

I connect my VU+ Solo2 box via an HDMI splitter to 1) an LG TV with a 5.1 surround system and 2) A bedroom tv just using the tv speakers (Samsung). I would like to leave my audio settings as HDMI surround (Dolby) for both TVs but the upstairs Samsung won't give out any sound on its speakers with a Dolby input on its HDMI, so I am forced to use the Dolby Digital Downmix=on setting to force it to stereo. This makes the downstairs non Dolby. The only real solution to the problem would be if I could put the downmix on for the upstairs tv (through hdmi) and use the optical output on the STB to give out Dolby for the 5.1 system downstairs. This unfortunately doesn't work as it doesn't seem to make any difference what you set the Dolby (3D Surround)output to (HDMI/Spdif/Dac), the digital output always comes out through all the outputs simultaneously. Is this an audio driver problem to do with the awful VU+ drivers? Or can a workaround be suggested.

Just to make a simpler point then. It does not seem to matter where one directs Dolby to (HDMI/Spdif/DAC) It seems to be output (on the VU+ Solo2) simultaneously to all outputs. Is this a bug or a driver problem with VU+?

Hi,
not possible right now. What might work is that analog audio (scart or cinch) are always downmixed but I am not sure about that.
