[Venton Unibox HDx] problems with recording

as the title says im having problems with recording programmes and any help would be greatful.

i have tried to record films and other items to the internal hdd, i go to guide, i find what i want to record, i press the green button to add the timer, i check the times and it says the name of the programme time start/end etc. so all looks good, i then go to watch the recorded programme; (i have tried a few films ect) and i got the following.
1: film recorded but no sound
2: a film recorded for 7 mins then stopped
3: 2 or 3 items i recorded had all the info there but 0.00mbs

the above was on build 120, i updated to 121 and got same ish results
1: recorded 0.00mbs
2: another recorded 10 mins but with sound this time.

I can press the record button on the programme im watching and set it for 5 mins and the picture and sound are there during playback.
Havent tried it for longer but will give it a go now and get back to u, will leave it on to record jezer on itv1 +1 from 10.25 - 11.25 and see what happens.

ok so tried to record jezza, pressed record button on the remote. option came up to record indefinately record till end of current programme or set the end time, i opted to set record end time and changes it to 11.30am i pressed green button to confirm then left turn tele off whilst i nipped out, just got back and checked and in media files it says what the recording was (which was lorrain as jezza didnt start until 10.25am) and all the info is there, then at the side it says time start 10.17 till 10.17, 0.00mbs.. so obviously not recorded owt.
just to clarify i did this by pressing the record button on the remote control and not by setting the timer.

It sounds like you do not have your Hard Disk or Recording setting's set up correctly, here are a few screen shots of my settings and they work perfect for me

Thank for the reply, I think it may of been a problem with the hdd, I put a little 80gb in that I had floating about doing nowt and I tried it to record corrie earlier, it worked so I have set it to record a film that finishes at 1am, will report back in the morning, will also check my settings against yours.

just to update, i set timers to record two movies through the night and both worked perfect.

was a problem with my hard drive and not with the box or builds,
