[ET5x00] python error and keep losing Ip on network

guys,

i keep losing my IP address on my xtrend5000.

tried restarting the network settings, rebooting the box, rebooting the outer, swapped cable.

swapped the cable to other equipment and works fine

also randomly get a "python error" connecting to the internet. maybe both are the same problem?

the MAC address of the xtrend has been assigned a static IP from my router and ports have been forwarded as a precaution

any deas please?

what version of the image are you using? also do you have DHCP enabled or disabled on the box. Then manually assign your ip address settings and gateway and subnet mask in your adapter settings

all settings on VIX 2.2. set to auto on the box.

i will try setting the IP manully on the box then report back

i removed static IP assign from the outer and it works now

wierd - static assign wirks fine with all the other equipment
