red light on display build 786

Turned on duo this morning and noticed red light on display. The box is working fine so I am wondering what the red light is about. Is the box on its final legs or is this a software bug on build 786?

Ok , upgraded system to build 789 and red light has disappeared. Must have been a feature of build 786

Any time you see the red light indicates the box is starting to fail. Read up all about it in the famous red light thread - you might need to solder in a replacement capacitor.

On the other hand your box could go many months, or even years, with occasional crashes but a will restart after a mains power off/on sequence.

The point I'm making is that you should not see the red light lit permanently if the box is working properly.

red light means unstable updates and green light means stable updates, nothing to do with the box failing or on its last legs.

which red light, on the OSD ( on screen display ) or on the front of the receiver it self ??.
