[VU+ Duo] Setup Screen

Hi

On flashing my duo with the new image i didnt see the splash screen on my tv at first it was only when i noticed on the front panel of the receiver it was scrolling through the hdmi scart etc so i waited until it came back to hdmi and i pressed ok but still had to reselect on my tv the output to enable me to see the screen.

Also not sure but i think the default for tuner wasnt right normally its tuner A as default with tuner B looped to A but for some reason it did it as tuner B default and i had to loop A to tuner B anyway I managed to change the default in the menu to tuner A then made the changes but maybe you might look at that to make sure Tuner A is the default at the point of install for those who may not be able to work out whats wrong.

On my solo+2 it was already set to default so no probs there m8.

Just took delivery today of my solo 2 went through the setup with the same problem tuner B came up as default tuner and i had to reconfig the settings to get it right.
also noted that on reboot on hd channel loss of audio which only came back when sd channel was selected
apart from that what a fast machine it is.

I'm not sure what you mean with 'default tuner'.
Also be aware that the solo2 can only loopthrough from tuner B --> A (so feed must be connected to tuner B).

On my duo i have lnb connected to LNB1 with tuner A and tuner B looped through A

on my solo2 I have now managed to setup LNB to Lnb1 with tuner A and tuner B looped through A

But that doesn't work.
As I said: the Solo2 only has a loopthrough from B --> A (I know you can make the setting, but it doesn't pass the signal; a hardware limitation).

how weird is that you think Tuner A would be the main tuner being first in the alphabet then B, is there any reason they done this ??
Anyway having looked in the manual i note they suggest single cable to be plugged into lnb 2 so i have reverted this back now have main tuner B looped to A

There is no 'main' tuner; they are all identical. And normally a loopthrough can be made both way's.
As I said: it's a hardware limitation. I have no idea about the deeper thought's behind that (if any).

Anyway: this is of course not a real limitation, you just have to know it.
