I'm just wondering if there's an obvious approach to making transcoded recordings available from my box to other devices on my network - e.g. is there an easy way for me to grab a 720p transocded version of a full 1080p recording on the box to save and watch on my phone?
One approach might seem to be to have another device on the network scan the recordings folder and create transcoded versions in another location. Or can the box itself create a second, transcoded version on its own storage? Or should I be using the transcoding icon in openwebif? This doesn't seem to work by default and requires the URL to be manually amended every time.
Maybe Plex/Jellyfin could scan for new *.ts recordings and create local versions?
Any ideas welcome! Maybe there is not one obvious way that works for everyone. Thanks!
