Softcams - Is there a guide to setting them up?

Hi Guys

I am wanting to receive a channel at Astra 28.2E but although its free, its free to view not free to air.
I have an official viewing card that used to unlock it for me if I went via other channels and added it into the official receiver.
I want to set up a softcam on my ZGemma so that I can view this channel again as it shows a lot of old programmes and films.
Is there a guide anywhere on setting up and using softcams as I have tried downloading one of the options available to try and see if I could get it to work but its not as easy to set up as I thought it would be.
Any help greatfully appreciated.

(Just to clarify that it I am not trying to unlock any paid subscription service at all).

well I would say the channel for a start as it may have closed down.

Hi. The channel is London Live. Its free to view but is behind encryption. It's a subscription free local service designed for the London area.

Well I just found London Live in my channel lists, selected and it plays.. so not sure if you need anything to play it.

Yes you need a sky uk freesat card or a subscription card. Its soft encryption in nds videoguard. You may have a softcam running and its included.

You are correct oscam-latest is running, although its not setup for this service

Yes if you follow post 8 just download the configs, extract them and then using FTP drag to correct directory, etc/tuxbox/oscam-latest/config
