[TM-NANO-OE] Something wrong with HDMI output

I have got a bit of a strange one with my nano and have spent the last 2 hours trying to fix it and test it with no luck! I have two main problems and looking for help and possible resolutions really!

1. When i reboot the box as soon as the loading bar is finished the picture disappears from my tv and only switching it of and on on the remote brings it back.

2. when i turn it back on and get picture back its got a purple blue tint to it and has lost sound i have tried different leads, different ports all the same. I have connected it through my xbox one and its the same. I have tried 3 other TVs and no issues and i have put my TM-TWin on the tv on the tv in question with all the hdmi ports and leads and it works fine and the same with my xbox one?!?! Any ideas coz i am stumped!!

Was fine on zues and only happened since helios. I have reflashed helios with out settings back up and the same.. Before i try zues again just want to see if anyone has any ideas before this nano goes out the window :smash:

It's a known longstanding issue with the HDMI handshake, it has been reported to TM but getting them to
A) acknowledge the issue
and
B) fix it.

are two entirely different issues altogether.

Well that makes me feel better as either my tv or box was going out the window!

Just after posting a found a workaround for issue 2, in AV settings switching between 720 and 1080 outputs brings sound and colour back :thumbsup:

If anybody has this issue on their receiver, they should contact TM. I was told it was a hardware issue on my TM Twin.

My single is terrible at this time (since last drivers) I have to reboot when I come out of standby (pink screen)

Also having the exact same issue with Helios and my single, have gone back to Zeus which as been rock solid until TM sort out the driver issues.

its a real pain.. was fine and now started playing up! when the ox works its amazing but the pink purple screen is going to do my head in!

had a similar issue last night. Installed Helios, all was okay, got up this morning, and there was a green / purple tint to the menu skin bits, and the HDMI picture was not right.

Took out the hdmi, put back in and wasnt working had to turn box off at the wall.... But mine is an ET 9000

No issues here with my ET9200.

None now that I restated my box, took the HDMI lead out and it worked.

Yeah, I have a similar problem when my TM-2T has been in standby.

Only Issue I am having is, Say I put my TM Single into deep standby.

Doesn't matter how long before I turn it back on could be 5 mins or 50 mins. When it starts booting up the boot up screen shows fine through the scart output but I have no signal on the HDMI port.

I have to mess about restarting and taking out HDMI lead and putting it back in to get a picture.

I have a video sender on the scart connection in case anyone was going to ask

No issues here with my ET9200.

Be aware that HDMI-handshake issues can be different using a different TV. Both parties (i.e. TV & STB) are equally responsible for carrying it out correctly.

Afraid I have the same problem with my twin upon wake up from deep sleep and standby, a restart brings it back.

I also would like to know the contact details for complaining to TM

My nano 2t is also doing it. This is only since updating to Helios. A hard reset sorts it out but it was fine before the update.

I am also getting the pink screen and loss of sound on two Nano's since upgrading to Helios from Zeus, if this is a driver problem is it possible to downgrade the drivers to the ones used in Zeus as this was working ?

Don't expect anything positive though as no doubt TM will blame you, your usage, the weather, just about anything except themselves sadly..

& you can add my twin to those affected with no HDMI output coming out of standby..

I will say that it does work (albeit with some HDCP or timing issues [as both can cause a pink hue]) following a reboot which *could* rule out the drivers (as it wouldn't work period if the drivers were b0rked) but annoyingly, they could still be to blame if they are not priming the output when coming out of standby..

As has been seen before, the problem has been reported to TM but it's up to them to research it further..

I have the same issue with my GigaBlue Quad Plus with OpenMips 4 image. Restarting enigma fixes the pink tint.
