[VU+ Solo2] Streaming Question...

Is it possible to stream whatever is playing on the receiver (Vu+ Solo2 in my case) to a web brower/tablet etc?

I know I can stream live channels and recordings, but if I am watching a recording on my main tv from the receiver, is it possible to mirror the output on another device?

Yes, both streaming & transcoding of currently viewed channel is working.

I just tried using OpenWebif & VLC.

I've used openwebif and vlc, streaming of live tv channels and recordings works fine, but I can't see how to stream whatever is showing on the receiver itself.

Just choose the same stream or transcode options for the currently viewing channel.

I can select and tv channel and stream it fine, recordings work fine too, but if I select 'Current' and click on the title it launches vlc with the url but nothing happens, just black screen.
The same thing happens whether it's on a Windows7, Ubuntu or Arch computer.

Just tried it that way here without issue on Ubuntu & VLC.
If you select it from the main OpenWebif page, does it work for you then?

If you mean on the "Current" selection on the main openwebif page, where you can click on the title playing to open vlc, this is how I have tried. It just opens the url in vlc but only get a black screen with the vlc icon in the middle, it would seem either the url doesn't exist or is invalid in some way.

I have just tried this on live tv rather than a recording and it appears to work, but if you then pause/timeshift the live tv on the receiver it continues to play the live tv on the remote device. So it not actually mirroring the output just playing the same source.

I am trying to see if it's possible to have a recording or live tv play on the receiver and mirror it's output to another computer/device, if I pause or fast forward I would want the remote device to show whatever is output from the receiver to the tv.

Could be an issue with Helios, vu drivers & OpenWebIF so.
All I can say it's working fine in current test builds, so an update to Apollo when it's released should fix it for you.
