[VU+ Solo2] Subtitles MKV Using Dreamplex

Hi All

First of all just want to apologize if this has already been answered but Ive searched and cant find a resolution.

I was watching Jack Ryan Shadow recruit last night using dreamplex streaming over my LAN from PC upstairs running plex server, the file was a 1080p mkv. For those who have watched the film they will know there are Russian spoken parts, the subtitles were contained within the mkv but not displayed. I pressed the subtitle button on the remote and was given the option of 3 different subtitles but which ever one i choose made no difference and it just returned back to the movie. (the LCD on the front of the solo 2 displayed a message about subtitles indicating i was still on that screen but i wasn't.)

I'm using Apollo HD skin.

Any ideas?

i don't know the answer to your question because I don't even know how to activate subtitle at all.

Could you tell how to have any subtitles ? I am using direct play from my synology and must say, it's so good.

did u ever get subs off same here vusolo2 mkv also there not hard coded subs mine are on cant turn off my own 1gps uload 4tb server

I had this same issue when streaming via dreamplex - not sure if it was your mkv but with mine by selecting subtitles and the embedded subtitle (option 1) I was able to toggle english subtitles on and off.

on the duo2 try pressing the audio button twice to bring up subtitles menu. took me ages to find that out... there is no button on the remote for subtitles.
