Hi,

I have a Solo2 running latest VIX. I also have a few XBMC's around build on RapberryPi, Apple Tv2 and XBOX1.

All the XBMC's point to central NAS. I would like the Solo2 Receiver to be able to Automatically copy it's latest recordings to a folder on my NAS. It does not need to be in real time. As long as I can look at them later.

I have tried using the NAS as the location for recordings from the NAS but found many problems. I suspect its because of the network connection over WiFi via the router on the other side of the house.

Any ideas on how to achieve the File Sync to a NAS ?

Thx

You could set up a cron job to perform the sync but you'd also need to write a script that would perform the logic required I.e. to copy or not.

I'm sure this would be a possibility but I have not done any programming for years, so could easily lose a few weeks figuring it out.

Are there any plugins for this sort of stuff ?

thx

I found that mounting the NAS via WiFi was not stable. It may be the WiFi signal but I don't have any options for wired connections. I also tried PowerLine Ethernet but one of he plugs has now failed.

I'm really happy using the internal 1Gb drive for recording performance and time shifting but would just like a means to copy sync them asynchronously to my central NAS.

Any ideas or draft of a Cron job install would be great.

Thx
