[VU+ Duo2] Transcode is only widescreen on 720p setting

I have been having this problem with all images so i'm sure it's my settings or that it can't be done. I am using VU+ player with VLC on an android phone and have set webif transcode settings to almost all possible variables and still end up with a square picture in the middle of my widescreen phone. Unless I set transcode resolution to 720p and then perfect widescreen, and of course completely frozen as it requires more bandwidth than I have. I want to set a lower resolution, maybe 576p with 30fps (as I've heard this works best) and send it out at a lowish bandwidth as my net is rubbish and can only get a 300kbps upload speed. Any and all suggestions welcome. Stream option on port 8001 sends out in widescreen on all settings btw so it's only transcoding that makes it 4x3. It seems it is my phone that is messing it up as my computer plays it in widescreen.

Makes it any difference if you use the internal player instead of VLC?

I've tried vplayer free which will stretch it to fill but only that one and VLC will actually play at all.

Not sure which player that is. I use the internal Android player and it works fine, so I can't see why you would choose another one.
Also the internal player supports OSD in the VU-player, which is IMHO quite useful.

I like it but it gives sound but no picture on transcode. Maybe it's my low upload speed?

Hmm, not sure. You could test with a low resolution and the lowest bitrate (50kbs). The result will be very bad, but from there on you could increase the bitrate.
