A few different ways of doing it. If only doing a few, easy to use the remote.
Bring up your channel list (up/down button), highlight the channel you want, press menu, select Add alternatives.

Ah excellent thats what i was after. Though you were using Alternatives as some kind of code for a weird Hack.
Only 160 channels so pain but worth doing - Thanks

I have iDreamX but cant see how to do it from there.

Once i have twinned the channels (for lack of a better word) Do i need to change my existing timers or just select Tuner C as the preferential recorder. Then if the timer was setup on Tuner B it will now know to us Tuner C as i have joined them?

Cannot see on a timer where i can change the tuner used

Don't know about iDreamX.
Once you setup your alternatives, the alternative will be used for recordings if available & the tuner you set the recording on is being used.

Channel data is stored in a file called lamedb. When you select a channel, the receiver checks which type it is and which tuner is available. It won't consider using a tuner which can't use that service/channel.

If you select a Terrestrial channel, only the Terrestrial tuners are considered for selection. On the other hand, if you select a satellite channel, only satellite tuners are considered.

I have now manually configured all my alternatives. Where does this file live so i can backup and presumably restore if i ever needed to

Thanks

You need to ave all the files in /etc/enigma2 that en in ".tv" or ".radio".

Would it not just be easier to replace the satellite channels with the terrestrail ones?

The idea is that when there is no satellite tuner available the terrestrial one can be used, and vice versa.

I'm getting the impression, he wants to use the Terrestrail tuner for the FTA channels, (mainly for recording) and leave the satellite tuner to be free.
