This tutorial aims to show you how to take screenshots from your receiver like the ones you see here below. This process will work on all E1 and E2 machines regardless of images used on those receivers.
About Screen:
Backup Manager:
Backup Manager Settings:
Backup Manager File Selection:
Restore Wizard 1:
EPG Menu:
Softcam Settings:
the honors for these particular screenshots go to pooface from his ET9000 ViX 2.2.100 release thread below.

now in order to take screeshots / dumps, like those above you first need to login to your receiver via TELNET session. for this you can use a third party application such as "putty"
.
Or like my self if your operating system has a inbuilt telnet client you can use that ( i my self use the inbuilt client within windows 7, this however must be activated first as Microsoft disable it by default )
ok so now you have managed to initiate the telnet session you can use the following two commands to create your screenshot.
grab -o -p /tmp/grab.png [change grab to the file name you want it to be]
This first command will allow you to do a screen grab without the image of the channel you are watching.
Useful for when you want to only grap the current screen of a menu item
--
grab -d -p /tmp/grab.png [change grab to the file name you want it to be]
This command will allow you to do a screen grab with the image of the channel you are watching
Useful for when you want to show a channel or an error in the channel / program
--
your screenshots will be created as .png files and will be sent to /tmp directory for you to retrieve via FTP.
please note the above screenshots are all examples of using the second command as at the moment i am not near my receiver so i can not post examples of images created using the first command.
I would once again like to thank pooface for the images above as taken from his ET9000 ViX 2.2.100 release thread and for providing me with the commands in the first place.
so there you go, i hope this Tutorial helps and if you have any suggestions on how to improve or edit this tutorial then please don't hesitate to contact me.
