Update bug VIX 2.1 also for Solo

i have done extensive testing all working here, please post cam.check.log stored in /tmp folder. you can view this log in softcam manager by pressing the epg button whilst in Softcam Manager

Good point Gentlemen, unfortunately no real technocrates around here. Maybe I can tell my wife how to - but if there is an autostart functionality it should autostart. And it did before. Perhaps Andy does have a clue :-)

Thanks for your help - I will tell my wife that even the mum of silverfox is able to start the CAM manually. We'll see what happens.

"maybe tell my wife how too"....that is an act of insanity, but if you must, carefull wording to be used

seriously though, its worth the effort, but there is the risk, that you will loose ownership

From today on I am on a business trip until Thursday evening and will post the cam.check.log accordingly after my return. Thank you guys for paying attention to my (personal?) issue.

Kind regards, belierzz

Ok it seems that some member are right as regards the autostart.
I see in post that restart after update affects the cam in way it starts.
On mine it is not the restart at all i leave it in standby and works fines, it is when i cut the power off the box completely as i always unplug mine when off to my pit.
I turned it back on and same issue, the cam is not autostarting

likewise i setup the new power manager option to reboot at 4am and checked it this morning to see that the cam was no longer active and had to manually start it. i think i will finally give up trying to reboot the vu+ :-)

guys we need logs, turn on debug log in vix setting the next time it happens please post the log in /home/root, then then off debug log again.

ok so far we have found a small bug which is down to user

you need to make sure you have ALLOW TELNETINFO : yes

in yr config

this is what will comunicate with autostart to start it

I had it disabled before and it worked fine?? until the updates.

i don't even have this option in oscam configuration

Good evening - unfortunately more than 200km away from home and the VU (and my wife of course), therefore no log before Thursday as stated before. As I said: issue with CCCAM 2.2.1 as well as with SCAM 3.59 (without any config file). Only the pure bin in the softcams folder. Worked perfectly until the updates to 2.1.2.1 (and for me only 24 updates according to the info screen after update).

Hi Andy, I have updated again (this time 31 updates), restarted and just the same. SCAM 3.59 didn't autostart. Checking the cam.check.log accordingly: no entry at all. After a manual start there are now several entries (pls. see
attachement). But as I said: first entry was the manual start of the CAM.

Hope you can figure something out, belierzzView attachment cam.check.log

we have added a cam check script into the image

it uses telnet commands to look to see if cams are working and thus you need to add the info above into yr cfg

without it the cam will not start upon restarting the box and will have to be started manually

please be aaware that if u manaually stop yr cam yrself then the check script will not start it untill you manaually start it again forst time

the telnet check is maily aimed at starting a frozen cam or when u restart yr box to start the cam that you have placed in autostart [bluebutton]

Good morning,

Silverfox, could you please give me a hint on how to add the CAM to the cfg file?
Thank you very much in advance!

pm me your config file and where it goes, i have even used SCAM so i will need a little help to get it working again.

Andy.

the softcam check is ONLY to check oscam and cccam for frozen cams. the autostart has nothing to do with the frozen checks.
