[VU+ Solo SE] Update to 073hd problem

Hi, I have an update issue on my VU+ Solo SE.

Using USB flash I changed to OpenViX-HD 071, went without any problems, including restore settings and plugins. Green light was flashing to indicate 073 was available. Updated and up to the point were “nearly ready” goes out under blue “openvix” screen all seemed to go well. But that’s were things stay, permanent blue “openvix” screen. Switch power off/on and again gets as far as blue “openvix” screen. USB re-flashed with 071 HD four time and online updated to 073HD four times with same result.

The latest version for download and USB flash on the forum I can see is 071HD. Will try when 073HD is available.

I couch flashed 73 and im in the same boat... all my usb sticks are fecked aswell! Nightmare.

I upgraded online to 073 fine this morning on SE.

Re-tried online update from 071HD to 073HD unfortunately same result as my post No1.

For information whilst waiting for help I re-flashed 071 (non-HD) and then updated to 073 (non-HD) online without any problems.

Noting that 073 HD is now available on the forum for download I used it to do a USB flash. This got stuck in the same place, blue “openvix” screen after “nearly ready” text goes.

Tried again this time only restoring my settings, no plugin restore, still no go.

Tried again this time exiting the restore wizard and set up the box without scanning. OK up to this point. Then used the Backup Manager to restore setting and plugins. On reboot screen froze at the same place, blue “openvix” screen after “nearly ready” text goes.

Tied again this time only restored enigma 2 settings, not enigma 2 plugins, same result.

Triad again this time only restore enigma 2 plugins, not enigma 2 settings, this time OK. Reloaded channels from DreanBoxEdit. All looked OK

As a test I used Image Manager to load a backup of 073 (non HD), all OK and then Backup Manages to test setting/plugin file. All OK.

So it looks like the same setting/plugin backup works on 073 (non HD) but does not work on 073 (HD) image.

That’s why I have been having all these problem, or am I missing something?

If everything is fine on ViX 071HD,stay with it.You don't have to do every single update.I rather check the board for new release and do a new flash than update.

Hi - just did online upgrade (via Software Update) in Setup menu - went from 71HD to 73HD. All OK (apart from minor manual step to make sure I copy back the sat_???_REGION.xml back into enigma providers directory so I keep my channel swaps active). Did not have to reflash although I do that occasionally as well. Box is a Solo 2 and was USB flashed at 70HD to see what the HD version looked like. Doubt I would go back now though. Only one minor point - when looking at the recordings list, I used to be able to sort using Blue button and it would tell me whether I was sorted by date/time or alphabetically or in reverse. I now have 7 different "phases" of sort but they are not labelled so hard to work out what the other three are? I use most recent date and alphabet sort most. The non-HD version used to flash up what was the active one

I did an upgrade today early, and it solved my hotkeys bug, but booting takes 20mins and webif is borked.

I had the same issue as the OP. I USB flashed 73hd and setup from scratch (no settings restore) ands all was well. I wonder if it is to do with the skin removal....

Same issue here with a Duo2. Just about to try a clean USB flash to see if that fixes the problem. Will try it with a settings restore first.

Edit: Settings restore has broken it again. Will try a fresh install without settings restore.

Hi, same issue here with Solo2...
online update fails on reboot / a fresh install works but if you try and restore your settings it doesn't like it Back to 71 it is for the time being.

Installed 73HD yesterday on my Duo2 via the online update and it is working fine for me

there is an issue, please wait for next builds,
its been fixed.

due to the removal of youvix-blue skin as its now intergrated into the image default skin.

Vu solo SE online updated from Vix HD 71 to 73 HD both my boxes froze at boot screen after update..

As rossi said in the post above your's, the issue has been identified and is being fixed for future builds.
