Hi
I made a mistake flashing the wrong image on the Viper 4k51 now it stuck on boot cannot do anything with it
Is there a fix for it or will it go in the scrapheap
thanks in adv

HI Twol;
I may not made it very clear by wrong image i mean openvix-5.4.013.release-viper4k_recovery_emmc.zip witch is wrong for the viper 4k51 .
The box crashed and is stuck boot or root'
Thanks for the reply

It should still usb flash the correct image - the issue is often finding a usb stick that is readable by the receiver. Use the oldest smallest usb stick you can find!

Hi i have used 5or 6 usb sticks when press comes up i press front button and root comes up if i leave it there it goes to boot .I havent got an 8gb usb stick.
If i turn reciever without usb its stuck on boot.

ok. I'll try again. What files/folders are on the usb stick that you are trying to flash the receiver with?

ok sorry about thati am using the latest vix image 5.4.013 et1x000 viper 4k51

Ok. for the last time can you list the files/folders on the usb.

et1x000 viper 4k51

That is not the specific files, you are quoting the image name.
You will have a folder name and certain files in that folder that you have put onto the usb stick … what are they???

et1x000 viper 4k51

Not sure where et1x000 comes from (surely it should be amiko), but it's in the zip file and is also mentioned in the flashing guide for the viper 4k51.

openvix-5.4.013
How to USB flash Amiko 4K51. Copy the entire et1x000 folder directly to the root of your
USB stick. this is what i am doing acording to amiko 4k51 fourm on how to install
There are 6 files in et1x000 folder

Try renaming et1x000 to amiko.

All the images for this box say et1x000 , other amiko boxes say amiko.

renaming to amiko does not work either

Ok, better stick with et1x000 then, I must admit I've never seen an image with a different brand included before. They must have bought a job lot of spares from Xtrend.

Try formatting the usb stick with the hp format tool - you will find it on the web

Thanks for all replys,i have tried everything nothing will work so i think its time to call a halt, put id to experience
