[VU+ Solo2] Volume control

My sound is via an optical lead from tv to sound bar and volume is controlled via VU remote (tv to sound bar) If I remove the optical lead from the tv and insert it into my VU Solo2 (Solo to soundbar) the volume can now only be controlled via the soundbar remote and not the VU remote.

Is there a setting that allows the soundbar volume to be controlled by the VU remote via the Solo box ?

(reason = soundbar sits in front of the tv ir and can restrict volume control)

have you tried to see if you can find a code on the vu remote to work with the soundbar?
Why not just program the harmony the way you need it?

Where do i find the codes for the VU remote ?
As for the Harmony I have given up on that for the time being - fed up of it not switching on all of the activities. Quite happy with VU remote if I can get it to control the soundbar.

The Harmony is one of the very best generic RC's. If you don't manage to set it up, the best way is to ask for support from Logitech from within the application.

The codes for the VU remotes are in the manual that come with the box - no doubt you can find the manual online somewhere if you don't have it. Personally - i'd persist with the harmony though!

The codes are for pairing the VU remote with the TV which I have done. They are not for pairing it with a soundbar - are they ?
I would have thought there would be a setting within the box/vix for this.

there's a chance that a TV code might work your soundbar

The TV and soundbar are the same make (LG) so the relevant code has already been used.

but you stopped on the TV... try it again until you match the soundbar (or not)...

Hi,
I have my doubts that you can control the volume of your soundbar. Activate downmix on Solo2 and you can control the volume of SP/DIF out.
