[VU+ Duo] vu+duo stuck on red light

Tried installing some picons and the box froze. pulled the power and now the box is stuck with just red light . how can i flash a new bootloader.? A detailed tutorial and tools would be handy If anyone knows how to recover the box tried unplugging and leaving it. i have a null modem cable if this will help?

just put your image on usb in front usb and it will reboot from that.
Vu duo does not come with null cable, if yours did suspect you got a clone box?

thanks for the reply, appreciated. i had the null cable from an old box i had years ago. tried image on usb in front slot no go

It sounds like the hard drive is just spinning as it is making a whirling fast spinning noise

Box is around 3 1/2 yr old just upgraded tp latest image this morning 3.2 . yes picons were on usb

Changed the capacitor everything back up and running again
