okay finished that thread just a bit early. where i do see vix going is being ported to non vu boxes. its a staggering image and the way i see it going is to be available across the spectrum of linux receivers

I know the Vix-team supports ET9000 , I just want to know when you can expect the next Image version.

Hopefully not too long how long that is who knows.
The image is being constantly improved and as and when it is ready for public release it will be and not before.

now you have the et9000, i have the the vu+ duo. so the argument is not over what is the best image but what is the best box. after 3 years of a dm800hd the vu is simply beyond any comparison. i cannot say that the et box is not as good but i can confirm that in every aspect the vu outstrips dream. and that is after many years of defending the dream i had (you do get perspective after the amount of blood and tears shed)

at the present time VIX supports all current Vu boxes as well as the ET9000 and ET5000. it has also already been said on the forum that we would not be against the possibility of a VIX dreambox image but we dont have any boxes to test with and if a image did get released it would be for original boxes only. we would not implement measures to stop it working on clones but neither would we patch it to work with clones either.

For me, the ET9000 is the best next to the DM8000, Duo for you, is it ok or?

Is there any chance that the next VIX release will have the start at bouquets option on graph EPG same as it did when it used cool Vix 1.3. I have been stuck on Vix 1.3 for about 8 month as the Mrs and kids just cant get on with the new EPG setup in Vix 2.1.
