Hi all

I'm having an absolute nightmare trying to get my Vu+Duo (Vix 2.2) to connect to my network.

I have a tried and trusted wireless adapter (belkin g F5D7050B) which has been working fine and a belkin n modem/router which is fine too. All was ticketyboo yesterday.

Today I turned on my Duo from standby and had no S*y so checked the network using network test - green ticks all across the board, so restarted CCCam and this brought no joy.

I tried restarting the network but all this achieved was that my wireless was now disconnected. Having been able before to resolve this issue by a hard boot I did this but although my wireless was now connected I had neither the IP Address or Nameserver confirmed.

No matter what I try to do, whether rebooting the router then rebooting the Duo, restarting network etc I cannot get the IP address or Nameserver confirmed.

I have DHCP enabled and infuriatingly all was working fine yesterday.

Even reflashing is not helping - GRRRRR!!!!

Any thoughts would be most appreciated

Interesting - dhcp switched off, reconfigured and rebooted. Network test suggests all ok, all green ticks except DHCP, WLAN connection has a green light, CCAM supposedly up and running but still no s*y.

Checked the CCcam Info and the server has the green light, can't see any probs but no s*y, FTA ok though.

Checked Satfinder, lock ok and all signals seem ok, just trying a service rescan as sometimes that works but any further thoughts?

Can u download and install any plugs as that will tell u if u gt a connection to internet as it will download from our servers. If that works then u gt problems elsewhere that cnt b discussed here as your box has an active internet connection

Hi punisher, no probs with the plugins, just downloaded the weather plugin and that works fine, apparently it might rain here tomorrow.

Appreciate the comment about what cannot be discussed here, was aware of the rules but appreciate the reminder. Will talk to a pal off line about such things.

Thanks for the help so far

Going to give it a rest for tonight, lets see what things look like tomorrow

Definitely need a 'chat' with my pal. While waiting for a cup of tea to mash I noticed that I could see some s*y channels (not just FTA ones) but not sports or films - hmmmm I thought !!!. Reckon I know what that is and what's happening but a conversation with pal needed lol.

Again thanks for the DCHP idea punisher, looks to have solved my main networking issue. I'm going to have a look at these homeplugs though, people on here seem to like them and my pal running a DM8000 thinks they're great

Home plugs are the best thing since sliced bread and there is no point in buying expensive ones, I bought 2 pairs of the ebuyer values and they work flawlessly.

Have purchased a couple, took less than two minutes to set up, Duo connecting to router like a dream even if I restart enigma or restart the network. Thanks to all you who helped.

My pal still not resolved my other prob but I can't talk about that :D

Tell me what wireless USB-adapters you managed to get working. They must be older models. Who could supply them?
I have three D-Link, one TP-Link, and one Belkin adapter. They don't work, their firmware is too new to be supported by Vu+Duo with the latest ViX-image.
Funny thing is that VTI-image has the right drivers to get them working.

punisher - my mate his side all sorted last night - all fine and dandy now :D

rte - the wireless adaptor I've been using is a belkin F5D7050B - have tried two other belkin n wifi sticks but no luck with them, either green-screened me or just not recognised. Mind you that was with a genuine DM800.
