dvd burner

[cosie]

hi guys,i got an external dvd burner for xmass for copying from my duo to dvd.
i tried to install the dvd burn plugin.it installs but when i launch it,it crashes the box.
does anyone have any experience with this
my dvd burner has its own power supply and i can view vids and pics etc on it.
so the duo recognises it.thx for reading

Try disconnecting the player and "burn" an ISO file. See if that works.
And every question about a box crashing should be accompanied by a crashreport.

I have no doubt the recorder will be fine: it just might be that the plugin behaces differently when it is/is not connected.
Was that crashreport with the drive connected?

Please try doing the same with the plugin "CutListEditor" installed: it is needed for the burner.

Are we talking about ViX? Hotplug is embedded. And indeed: skins can give trouble for all kinds of things, but apparently that was not at hand (and no need to use the default skin for that).
