Once working But after Upgrade no more....

Hi guys

thought i start this thread for you to advise other members here of progs that are no longer working with the new update, to kick it off heres two

Project Valerie Vu duo

Downloaded the pluging and rebooted the box did the config taken to the select live tv movies etc but no selection worked - Locked the box, on powering down from the rear it took me back to the setup again which i followed and again options to select didnt work. In the end I had to ftp the box and remove the plugin
By the way I also reinstalled the old media player incase PV was looking for this player rather than the new vix version but it didnt make any difference.

CCcam Switcher VU Duo

This prog was working sweet in the pre upgrade image I installed the file via FTP to the right location
User/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extensions/ chmod it too and installed all the CCcam.cfg files to /var/etc then rebooted the box when to plugins and got the message certain plugins where not available naming the CCcam switcher as one

Would like to hear why these no longer work with the new upgrade maybe others here wud like to add progs they no longer get to work since the upgrade

Config swticher is not needed with ViX.

Create configs, CCcam.cfg1, CCcam.cfg2 etc....

Blue button CCcam Info > Press menu.

Not sure about project valerie.

Hi boss

Thanks for the heads up on the switcher nice work having that available in the image one thing i must mention is the setup

To add different CCcam.cfg to it they must be in the /var/ect like this ... CCcam_1.cfg CCcam_2.cfg
Also in the /var/etc file you must have a the original CCcam.cfg file otherwise you cant start CCcam
Also noticed that you can switch between your different config files but the original CCcam.cfg file does not show in the switcher program so to get around this i simply made a copy of the original calling it CCcam_3.cfg.
Not sure if when stb is switched off that it resets to default version but seeing mines on like 247 i thought it best to be able to see the original cfg in the switcher prog.

i have not tried Valerie since upgrading to the 3.1.1 kernel but as far as i know it is no longer compatible with the image and needs the author to fix it. Try using the ViX media player by hitting the list button next to the menu button. it will surprise you at what it can do without the need for external plugins etc.
