On the vix image using silverfox bouquet and most channels audio is default NAR so i hear someone naratting for me. I know how to change the audio track individually on the remote but it takes ages flipping through each channel so is there any way to do it quicker and save it?

Thanks mate, if i do that should i also put prefer audio stream by service to no?

Another little issue is when i rewind or pause there is a second blackout on the box, it has permanent timeshift already and the hdd is mounted..

not picking a fight with the boss.. but mine is set to yes.. and all is ok.. lol

I'll explain my reasoning ;)

If set to yes and you setup Audio language selections to different languages, setting stored audio stream to yes will not default to the new preferred languages.

OK, had same problem with NAR. So changed defaults to prefer AC3 and unfortunately set Audio and Sub title language = English.
On BBC1 HD i picked up (I believe) impaired hearing sub titles, so set sub title language back to None.

But even set to None, I STILL pick up sub titles on this channel (BBC1 is fine, only BBC1 HD) and as far as I can see any other channel (with sub titles) is OK.

hitting yellow button twice, doesn't help as I just have a choice of either DVB or teletext
Any ideas?? Is this info also stored in the channel?

Hi Is something similar available for Blackhole?

I can change each channel from Audio button, but when I'm using WebTV, through internet explorer, I do not have the option of selecting the audio track, therefore a channel with e.g. default Polish, I cannot change to English.

Thanks

Hi,

I am having similar issue with my vu+ solo2, i.e. I am getting narration on some channels.

I am using the in-built Autoboquet from 28.2E ....

Menu > Setup > System > Auto language Selection > Set prefer AC3 audio to yes

mine is set to Yes and makes no difference .......

any more ideas?

cheers

Have you set default language to "English"?

Hi all

iv just recently installed openvix image and i seem to be having this same problem, the narration just seems to randomly turn on, my mum shouts me randomly saying i can hear the voices again telling me whats happening before it happens lol

anybody know how i can stop the narration. and that AC3 setting thing in the auto language menu is already set to YES.

at the moment im always having to click the audio button on the remote and selecting the non narrative audio

Hi sorry yes i read the post, when i firsy set my vu+ solo2 up with vix i selected English for the language, but why would that mess with the narration, i just want to turn it off

Because "visual impaired commentary" is the audio track. I.e. it contains dialog, sound effects and commentary. If that is not what you want switch to a different audio track.

Menu -> Setup -> System -> Auto language selection -> Audio language selection 1 = English
Menu -> Setup -> System -> Auto language selection -> Prefer audio track stored by service = yes

Previous setting was saved so.
Press the audio button & change it to non RAR.
