Failed tuner message

Hello guys, i have been trying over the last few days, to set up my vu+duo to receive fta channels. At present i have the free sat box installed, that said, due to the weather here in belfast i have been loosing the odd channel, but at the moment, all channels are playing. But when i plug vu+ in and go through set up, i scan both tuners they in turn pick up about 900 or so channels which for each can take about 20mins. When the scan has said its done should i leave it for a while? I set up dish pointer on my laptop at 3am this morning, I'm none the wiser. Just to be sure I'm not daft, i have installed plugins .1channel is working great. Any recognizable settings are complete those i am unsure of i haven't touched. Please can any of you give a detailed instruction or even better screen shots of what i am supposed to be looking at. I have tried you tube to see if there are any videos, nothing. Can someone help ?

i had the same issue at one point and a restart through the power option fixed the issue and the channels came back

Can ya give me a bit more detail? i been at this for days, figured out just about everything else on this box just trying to get the channels to work. Thanks for your reply.

good you found channels thats a start,strange as you could not view bbc and itv as any box should.you only need to scan 1 tuner and if on the same sat the phrase is "tuner a same as tuner b ".its using same settings.good to see wife tinkering with your box as you sleepi would also use the download plugins and go to extensions and open it and scroll down and look for sgt.flipflops28e and use them .easier to view listings from the blue button than running down the all [ red ] section.
