[VU+ Duo] Cams freezing

Ok I am running mgcamd 1.35a so the previous cam log is gone so let's see if all is working tonight, I'll post a log if anything happens.

The log should always be shown as soon as box starts running. Go to /tmp and check if the file name above is there. If not, then it's not checking if cam is running

I checked the log and it says working correct and that is right as it hasn't frozen yet, if the cam freezes i'll upload the log.

Mgcams 1.35a seems to be working, didn't freeze. But still seems as if cams don't work as they did before as 1.38 used to work perfectly and a few cccam versions.

I use Cccam 2.3, works flawlessly.

My Cccam 2.2.1 seemed to work this morning without freezing up.

CCcam 2.2.1 works flawlessly for me on 3 different machines. Uno, Duo, Ultimo all on ViX 3.0-249.

Cccam 2.2.1 works fine for me. But MGcamd 1.35a seems to stop clearing channels until it is restarted.

Do you mean 1.38 or 1.35a? The latter has been working for me but 1.38 required a restart daily for me.

I'm certain cams aren't working as well on vix 3.0, if it freezes i'll post a log, try posting a log mate. Mines been ok but we'll see overnight. Mine used to hang when on a single channel for too long.

How long do you define too long?

I've had box on a channel for 3 hours tonight (well, short of about 2 mins), and it never had any problems at all...

I'm not sure but like overnight, whether I leave the box on standby or not, when I check its frozen and cam needs restarting, been ok with mgcamd 1.35a so far.

I have had the golf on since 4.30pm this afternoon.. and no issues either..

So thats 6 and a half hours.. constant..

Which makes it sound like there could be a memory leak in the software of 1.38, and this only becomes apparent on oe2... although not sure why soft cam manager has not found it to be stalled?! Any chance you can try 1.38 again and post the cam check files as well as a debug log when it's crashed?

I often leave different boxes on overnight, one mightn't get used for a few days & still never have an issue.
Where are you getting the cams you are installing from?

yup same here. my 3 Vu's are left on 24/7 and none of them are showing these problems.

Problem is that some other person on this thread reported the same problems with 1.35a. The cams are from the Vix folder in 4shared posted on this forum.

Well, they should be fine so.
I presume you're using the cam to decode local card?
Get the logs up as soon as you can so someone can work out your issue.
