Hi,

I'm using ViX 3.0, but I've tried to update to the very latest software releases, and my Ultimo refuses to boot up. Tried today, and last week.

It remains on the spashscreen, with the ViX logo appearing and disappearing, and the VFD keeps displaying the circular images, then disappearing.

I can only describe this as in a loop?

Anyone able to help.

Have reverted back to initial ViX 3.0, which was working very nicely.

Cheers, Lee

It has been stated quite often on the forum not to update to the latest version. This is the reason why we have the red update symbol, to say that these updates are unstable... So, you are updating at your own risk...

The latest stable update, is the one on the site here (268):

http://www.world-of-satellite.com/enigma2/openvix/

So, you can update to this version, and wait until the update symbol has been changed to green before updating again...

yes there is a known problem with the 282 build failing which has resulted in a bootloop. for now we recommend that you update no higher that 268 until we can get a new image out with the necessary fixes.

Thanks for that. I hadn't realised what the flashing icon was until recently. I had been using a customised VFD, so it didn't appear on mine. I know now...

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

Cheers, Lee

There is a vix 3.0 294 on now . Has anyone tried it yet

Yes on 294

Still getting the boot loops so reflashing to 268

the panic button bug will be fixed in the next update
