I am still using vix 2.3 image and when I try to download this plugin it is not available in the download list. Do you need to be using a more upto date image or is there a way of getting this working on the 2.3 image ?

nothing scary about flashing these receivers if you take it one step at a time.

What would you advise for me to get my et9000 ready for the ondemand plugin ?

Is there anyway of backing up your current setup , e.g sats and plugins etc ?

Also I have read about needing to update the bootloader to get some of the newer images to work, how do I know if I need the update the bootloader ?

To get the full benefits from your new receiver you should learn how to flash this receiver. Pheonix wrote an excellent guide here:

yes thats correct, the image in the screenshot is too old and needs to be updated.

I updated my image and bootloader to the latest versions and the ondemand seems to be working fine
The updating process was simple enough to do so I would recommend getting your box updated to enjoy this plugin.

I have done the update on the box via the TV and it says nothing to update

I think you need to enable unstable updates in the setup/system/software update if the next update isn't a stable image. Then try it.

you seem to have py files from an old version, remove the plugin, with plugin browser, the remove the OnDemand plugin folder via FTP, then reinstall the plugin.

OnDemand will work on every receiver supported by ViX.

What a plugin. Amazing. Great work guys.

As posted earlier by dajay69 I too am using an amp and no sound is output when I have digital down mix off. As suggested it works with down mix on.

Guff daddy has a working config thru amp. What box I wonder?

Is there anything I can do (logs) to help figure out why it works for some users and not others? Could it be box specific (GB Quad for me too, like dajay69)
