Help Getting Mediatomb to install

Hello

I'm trying to get mediatomb up and running for the main purpose of using the m3u files generated from Tuner Server to steam to a PS3/SmartTV

Attached is the files i'm trying to use, and the progress I have made so far.

Any input is much appreciated as I'm now banging my head against the wall. I know BH has this natively installed but i prefer VIX.

I'm sure the more help i can get the more people will benefit from it once it works

Initial Progress

Tried installing the mediatomb package with no luck


So tried to install all other files, which worked bar one (libmagic)



So just thought i would try to install mediatomb again, with this error (due to libmagic)

I posted here a mediatomb version which installed fine and was running on ViX. Search for it.

I have installed this on a fresh solo2 as it would not install on my ultimo

Everything seemed ok but i still cant access 49152

How did you get yours configured?

Hope you get further than I did, I got it configured my ps3 saw my bouquets but I couldn't get the ps3 to play the m3u files

Just a little update

mediatomb is running, can access from webconfig, can see the folders on ps3 but no m3u files

not sure if this is a config issue or the m3u's are nested too deep. ive tried various things posted on net with little luck.

might have to install BH just to see how its configured on there.

Download mediatomb_0.12.1-r3_mips32el.ipk (if you put mediatomb into the search and click on the top search result there is a link on the second post by trial)

FTP the ipk to your temp folder and install on machine

Telnet into your device and type mediatomb - this activates the server and allows you to access it from your browser at address http://192.168.1.100:49152/

From http://192.168.1.100:49152/ you click database>pc directory>hdd>tuner and click the far right button which has a plus sign within circular arrows

I can now stream live TV to PS3, desktop computer and WDTV live - happy days
