Can anyone tell me 4OD and 5OD will be back on-demand soon , I am working on vix image 702, on a VU SOLO and DUO do I need to update to latest images to get latest on-demand plugin or do I just uninstall from extensions, reboot box and then reinstall from extensions.

not likely, due to changes both have made to the way they stream content, unless a legal way around those changes can be found which may be a way off yet.

FYI: The image-build has no relation with the plugin version. The feeds always hold the latest plugins.

Have just visited the Tunlr website with the message that they have pulled the plug on the service.
For those outside the UK they will no longer have access to BBC, ITV etc.
I have had to alter my DNS config to gain access to the internet.

and OnDemand also uses Tunlr AFAIK , so with that and 4OD / 5OD things are not looking too good.

I have replaced Tunlr with Getflix ( DNS unblocker) which worked for a few days.Now BBC iplayer will work for between 2 and 10 mins and then stop.
Is this a problem with the new DNS unblocker or On Demand.
Have found that I can play content from iplayer via my Laptop with the Google plug in Hola Better Internet which is free but it does buffer occasionally.
Perhaps I should try Getflix through my laptop!!!

With Getflix the video will buffer between 2 and 10 mins and then its fine. Will this buffering cause the iplayer to stop?
Have saked Getflix to look at it to see if it's a problem with them.

Trying to install on demand from my dreambox 800HD but wont let me, Ive clickd on plugins and getting the following message:

Some plugins are not available
extensions/ondemand (no module named Lxml)

Can anyone help please

Well, you're asking in the ViX-image support section.
We have no image for any DM.

But the answer is: you'd best ask support from your image team.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread and if so if someone could point me in the right direction, that would be great. I downloaded OnDemand and there is no 4oD & Channel5, is this correct?

They were removed a long time ago due to changes made by the service providers. They will not be returning any time soon.

i switched once again from BH to VIX today and have an issue with the ondemand player. (this was one of the main reasons to switch to BH some time ago, but i never got used to that image)

on BH i could use "pause", "fast forward" and "fast rewind" and it worked flawlessly, but now on VIX whenever i try to pause (or ff, frw), the stream freezes.

It is an issue we are aware of but as yet we don't have any solution I'm afraid. I agree it is very frustrating though..

BH on demand player show the same failure as the VIX one, when started on VIX and on BH, the VIX one is working....

i installed the package you get for blackhole on my vix installation - same problems.

then i tried to run the on demand player package from vix on a blackhole installation - everything like pause/resume ... was working

Can you upload the BH package and I can check what is being installed?

I hadn't noticed that it was back on 4OD. I will need to take a look to see if it can be converted..
