You do realise that CoolTV is just a GUI it does not generate the EPG, it still needs CrossEPG for that.

All you are adding with CoolTV is another pointless GUI that has no real functionality of its own and worse still it is based on the original ViX epg and is now closed source.

That maybe so, but it lets me customize the buttons too my liking. When was the last time you used imdb search function? Why do I need 3 ways to set a timer?

if you havent installed from the feeds and have been installing the rars i put on, install this ipk and then you'll get the updates through online system updates.

quite a few screen tweaks
add picon to movieselection
remove some more pngs that arent used.
skinned linuxsataddons

there is a new converter required which is in the rar file. hopefully this will get added to the git.


installation:-
extract rar
delete old Blue-HD folder from /usr/share/enigma2
transfer new Blue-HD folder to /usr/share/enigma2
transfer MovieReference.py to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Converter/
restart e2

Once pointer to the above.

One restarted Enigma 2, its best to check that MovieReference.pyo has been created and delete the MovieReference.py

Otherwise if MovieReference.pyo is updated in the and updates are online, you would constantly keep getting an old version of MovieReference.pyo being created.

The same applies to any .pyo file you add manually to the receiver, every time you reboot the receiver will look to the .pyo file and generate a new .py file from it, overwriting any newer file you may have on the box. It's always best practice to remove all .pyo files after the initial reboot from when they were sent to the receiver.

Think your getting confused with .py files. Pyo files stay, .py generates .pyo.

This may be a stupid question but having previously installed the skin updates via the rar files, I installed the ipk above and was wondering how I update via that from now on? I am using OpenVix Zeus 023

You need to be on the latest supported VIX image Apollo 008 it will then be updated on available online software updates

Ah ok thanks. Out of interest, is there an upgrade path from Zeus to Apollo so I don't lose all of my settings?

You need to do a fresh install but if you back up your settings and restore them on the new install you will be fully up and running within 10 mins
