[VU+ Duo2] OpenWebIF http authentication can't login (Apollo 026) ?

Hi, on my current image Apollo 026 when I try to access OpenWebIF via my PC using my ip address with http authentication "ON" it is not letting me access login fails the username is root and the password is the one I have set I have no problem FTP into my box which is a Vu+Duo2 with the same password it's just when am trying to access OpenWebIF it fails. I did turn "OFF" http authentication and I can access it this way but to be honest this is unsecure also I did not have this problem with my previous image which was Apollo 024 thinking this is a possible bug?

UPDATE: Ok I changed the password via TELNET by typing passwd and I have seemed to login to OpenWebIF which is very weird don't know what happened. I did change the password back to my old password and I can login in know as I said i don't know what happened but if anyone does have this problem try what I did and should hopefully work.

If you flashed without restoring settings, as is recommended when updating from Apollo 24 or older, that erased the passwords and user accounts you have set yourself.

Yes but as I mentioned I could FTP into my box with the same password and the default username which is "root" this was on Apollo 026. Plus I also tried the default password which is passwd also left it blank as well but no luck so even if the password was erased atleast the default password should have worked.

There is no default password on ViX, it's left to the user to create one if they want to.
passwd is a linux script to set the password.
