[VU+ Solo2] New Solo2 Sky card question.

Hi everyone,

I've been browsing the forum for a while now and finally bought a genuine Solo2 from the sponsor.

Got it all set up with the latest ViX image using the tutorials. However I cannot find a tutorial for using the sky card in it. Could someone help me out.or point me in the right direction please? I have a Sky HD box and active subscription. I know I cannot get HD on it but wanting to use Solo instead of the crappy sky box.

Insert the card chip side down.
Install oscam or cccam from the plugin feeds.
Set up your config files, example of Cccam.cfg here, place it in /etc/

Then blue button, Softcam Manager, green button to start the cam, blue button to have it auto started on reboot, restart and so on.
If using oscam, search the forums for sample config files.

You can't get any useful Sky channels with any VU+ box as your card has been paired to your Sky box. All you get is a few soaps, which are basically the same as the soaps on the free channels - same story lines, but with different actors.

You would be better sticking with your official Sky box.

I, what about the box key? That has to be in the configuration file doesn't it?

Ya can get all channels except HD on the solo using your card in it.

Not if the card is paired with an official box, which is the situation here.
