[ViX_Misc] Scrolling channels in infobar

Hi, I was wondering is it possible to scroll through channels in the infobar by pressing up/down, rather than be taken to the channel list screen? I am trying to get the functionality to be very similar to Sky HD box as the family are used to that and keep pressing up/down thinking it will scroll through channels on the infobar. Thanks

Press ok to get the info bar up n just press your channel +/- button and ok to select it. Easy peasy!!

Aah cheers! Is there any way to swap actions? To make up/down scroll through channels and OK & channel+/- go through channel list?

Just tried it and it doesn't work. When I press Ok to show the infobar and then channel +/-, it just changes the channel rather than scrolling

Pressing left or right scrolls through the channels then pressing down shows what's coming on later.

Hi.
Not sure if this helps, but you can customise your set up in the Button Setup menu.
(Setup, System, User interface, Button setup).

When you have that screen open, press the menu button & change View mode to Single EPG.
You can then use < > at either side of the OK button to scroll the way you want.

I totally get that. My query is about scrolling through channels via the standard infobar and not the infobarEPG. Abit like pressing up/down on Sky to scroll

Confused by what you actually want so.
Screenshots of what you want & what currently happens might help.

Basically, when you press OK, it shows the infobar - which has the channel name as well as now and next events as shown below:

What i want: to be able to press the up/down buttons and scroll through channels so that the infobar remains the same type in the image above but the channel and event names change. And then if I want to view the channel I scrolled to, I can press OK to view it.

I am aware that if I press the left/right buttons (on singleEpg setting) then I can scroll through the channels but I was not asking about this as 1) I want to scroll using up/down instead of left/right and 2) I want to scroll using standard infobar and not the infobarEPG as shown below

A customisation rarely needed.
You're not using a SKY box, enjoy the extra benifits.
Button setup might suit your needs so?

No disrespect intended here mate but you did buy a E2 receiver not a sky receiver, so you really should not expect sky uk features, regardless of what the family may or may not be used to.

If you use the box a little you may actually come to find that the menu's on a E2 box are more intuitive than a sky box.

I'm very much into my tech so I completely agree that an E2 box is alot superior to the Sky box. It's just a feature I wanted as I have used other systems and they have this feature as well so it is just a preferance thing really.

Please explain the feature you expect/want a lot better so others can understand.
