[Mut@nt HD2400] Kodi will not install after new image

Ok I have installed the new image and restored all my settings with no problems except Kodi. I keep getting a message on screen saying ( some plugins are not available. Extensions/KodiDirect (cannot import name eTPM). When I did my settings restore it asked if I want to restore my E2 settings there was no detail about plugins , am I doing something wrong when restoring my settings. I am not a great lover of Kodi but the WIFE is catching up with Chicago Fire and that is where I get the series from.
Any help would be appreciated.

My only experience of Kodi had been via my Solo and I too was not a lover of it. I bought an Amazon Firestick and loaded Kodi on that and I have changed my mind totally. The Firestick runs Kodi excellently- get one you won't regret it. (nor will your wife)

Do you need VPN for the add-ons to work? Mine seem to really struggle tempted to give up on it!

@ Hardy1976 are you using a firestick ? I don't use a VPN - can access latest movies - live tv - sport via Genesis/Zeus/Mutts Nutts et al

and again it is mixed up. You were talking about the plugin "Kodi direct" which has nothing to do and is not camparable to the real Kodi.

eTPM is a module for Dreamboxes to make a genuity check and this module is not supported anymore. Ask the author to remove the dependencies to eTPM or look at the source and remove it by yourself.

As trial says KODI direct and KODI are not even remotely the same thing. KODI direct is a emulator to run patched plugins, if you want to use KODI and not a rubbish emulator get a device that supports the genuine KODI such as a fire TV box, you won't regret it.

Agreed.. Amazon Fire TV box or even the stick..

Nothing even comes close to them for running kodi..

All you need is an android phone or tablet.. and 1 app called AGK fire..

And you will have it running in 15 mins..

You don't even need that any more. You can do every thing from a USB stick containing the KODI.apk if you first install the new Total commander file browser for fire OS on the Amazon App Store.

Well yeah you have a point but even so these days there are apps you can use with a smart phone to side load plugins for fire TV devices, without needing to use adbfire.

I used ADBfire to load Kodi - and some add-ons (zues etc) but nothing works?! Video error (for Zues) or the lists are empty.

Any ideas?

The Kodi Direct plugin works fine on the latest ViX image if you use the update from the Dev's site.

Try loading either the TV addons Plugin (previously known as XBMC hub) or the black box Equivalent. They will set up pretty much every thing you need, a quick google search and you'll find a few tutorials or YouTube vids. (This is for the genuine KODI) for KODI direct I can't help its crap.

So I went and bought the fire stick and I thought it would be easy now I am brain-dead cant get it to transfer Kodi to the firestick can anyone help please

The way I did it was - Using my Samsung smart phone installed an app called apps2fire this will load any app on your phone to the Firestick. Load Kodi or whatever you want onto your phone and away you go.
