[MB Premium Mini] Software Update

Hi updated to 18 but still showing update available, checked info and showing 18, software update shows no changes but main screen still shows update available.
Any ideas?

I would Reflash using image manager with downloading the latest image and restore settings

if you came from below either (I may remember numbers potentially wrong) both 009 and 013 - you will have needed to reflash the USB and restore settings/plugins from backups. This info is well published online - especially by forum member (boss) Sicilian - suggest you check his posts after you see the green dot to see if online upgrade works - or a couch flash is needed. There have been issues with two package dependancies that were resolved in the more recent releases. I suspect you may have gone to -018 from before one of these rather than last one which was -016. So like previous poster suggested, try a reflash with backups restored. I now normally see the green dot, wait to next evening, check the posts and update accordingly - be it online or couch flash.

Hi have been updating regular, reflash last time when required, was updated to 16 yesterday and 18 today as its been updated.

I am sure if you try what I posted it will clear the update issue. I had this problem and it cured mine.

I still have this issue on my solo2, I have flashed to the latest image I believe its 018, it still showing 2 packages needs updating. I have also deleted the ocam conf file from etc/opkg as advised by Sicilian, still nothing happened after several flashes. Could you please or anyone help me flash , tell me how did you do it step by step.

Yes I keep getting the problem on my solo2 even though I keep fresh flashing, no problems on my duo2 though that is fine.

Reflashing, downloading the latest image and restore settings using Image Manger cleared mine. All ok now

1. Press Blue button on remote. 2 . Select Vix 3. Select Image Manager 4. Press yellow button that will bring up zip files to download you should select the top one which is 018 it will ask you if you want to download select yes. 5 . After it has downloaded exit that and select the 018 zip file and restore I think it is the blue button. 6 . It should start flashing once complete it will reboot go through a few settings and then it will ask if you want to restore your settings select yes if you have a backup of your settings. Once that is complete it will ask if you want to restore Plugins I selected yes up to you . That should cure the issue has I said on mine it worked first time. Hope this helps:thumbsup:

I've been putting off updating from 14 to 18 for over a week (i'm a newbie and the thought of flashing my new box terrified me) but having read your post I took the plunge last night and just wanted to say thanks it worked perfectly on my Solo2

:thumbsup:I was the same m8 when I first did mine last year. I had a skybox years ago and had a nightmare with it , that's what put me off doing it myself. But lessons learnt in more ways than one .
