Can someone help me set up my Solo 2 running 808 build to be able to see my Mac hard drive to enable me to watch movies etc via the (hardwired) network?

It' s not hard work transferring the movie to a stick but if I don't have to...

I've tried and tried but I'm stuffed if I can work it out. I know I need to mount the drive, but beyond that I'm knackered.

TIA

It will be the same principle as connecting the box to a NAS (shared drive).

first step on the MAC would be to create a share that the sat box can access on the network.

thanks, i have done that.
now where can i find the rest of the steps needed?
i have searched the forum but can't find a guide.

Haven't seen a specific guide per se - however there are several posts where members have highlighted the steps.

with a MAC you will use NFS or AFP as a connecting protocol.
