I had been having problems with my home network accessing the internet and couldn't understand what was going on so as a process of elimination I removed each network device item from network and narrowed it down to the OSMEGA box.

As soon as I removed the OSMEGA LAN cable from my router all the devices in the home (PCs, laptop, smartphones etc.) were able to access the network.
The OSMEGa is setup with DHCP.

To overcome I reverted to wireless and all seems fine.
Could this be a LAN driver fault?

No (at least not one that I can think of).
It could be a LAN hardware issue or, more likely, a configuration issue.
When you set-up the LAN did you switch off the Wifi (might affect some switches/routers?).

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I didn't think to switch off the wifi as the router is in Ethernet cable reach of the OSMEGA hence the direct cable route.
This has only occurred since upgrading to version 5 (to my knowledge).
Strange hence the prefix as a possible bug listing. When I get a bit more time in midweek will carry out more tests.

I was just away to say try cccam to rule out a mg_cfg setting

yes I am using mgcamd - is this a new known issue? Am I missing something?

Your configs probably have the logging option switched on and you are flooding your network by trying to reach a non existent IP address.

ok thanks but how will that impact the situation as I am using the wifi of my OSMEGA and all the deivces on my network fine. It's only when I revert to LAN hard-wire ethernet from my OSMEGA to router that causes the network loss. When I say network loss I mean that from these devices I can see the router but can't access the internet when my OSMEGA is connected via LAN.

Checked your L setting in mg_cfg file mate???

I don't understand your questioning. If someone has a leak, and they are advised to fix it, why do they need to ask how it will affect something else. Just fix the problem in the file. Use whatever connectivity you want.

You can fix it as per this thread, use notepad++ not windows notepad

Or you can download configs files that do not have the error

Appreciate the responses guys.
Thanks Bangord30, abu baniaz - the leak has been fixed! :)
I have used the cfg file in one of your links. Thanks for all your help guys. Goodnight.
