Guys I need some help here before my Vu+ Uno 4k disappears out of the window.

Set up: Vu+ UNO 4k, running latest Vix, Inverto Unicable LNB, only Tuner A configured to Inverto SCR, motorised dish

So after much effort last weekend finally got my Uno tuned to all satellites after fitting a new Unicable LNB, turned the thing off turned it back on...............everything lost WTF!!:mad::mad::mad:

Many more hours spent configuring tuner A then swapping to tuner B then back to A (I'm talking hours) until eventually I get a signal and from then manage to retune alls fine... or so I thought....

Happily watching BBC 2 HD tonight, think I'll just try another sat, no movement from the dish - aye aye here we go again reboot and hey presto everything's gone again no signal, date back to Jan 1st etc, etc.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Anybody help please

Post a screenshot of your tuner configurations.

BTW, Unicable LNBs are not designed for Motorised setups.

Thanks for getting back

I've read conflicting advice as to whether Unicable LNBs work with motors, all I can say is when it was working it worked well, I get 100% signal on 28.2 and 50.

Working does not mean correct nor suitable.

The coding only sends voltage to drive a motor on certain configurations. The LNB has a circuit board inside, it does not do the normal switching that a universal LNB does. I would expect that there is some sort of protection in there, but that is no guarantee.

Anyway, set your LNB to a universal LNB, see if motor moves and you can tune to some channels on several satellite. You will get 75% failure as LNB does not switch. You will have to do devise a way of tricking the receiver.

My setup is I have a Unicable 2 LNB on a fixed dish on one port and a motorised dish on the other.

P.S
There is a link to a guide guide on how to take screenshots in my signature.

Fair point Abu, I will have a 'play' tonight.

It seems to be 'working' again after rebooting a few times...

Thanks for your time.

Did you just power off? If so thats most likely why you lost loads of settings. Never just power off.

LONG press standby button on remote and power menu will appear on screen.

No, I went into the restart menu and rebooted from there. Thanks for the pointer though
