What type of support thread are you creating?
Possible bug
What OpenViX Image build number are you using?
6.8.003
Have you tried re-flashing WITHOUT settings restore?
YES
Have you tried re-flashing WITH a settings restore?
NO
I just updated my box and it looks like it broke my STANDBY mode.

Here are the symptoms:
- Webif interface stops reacting after I toggle STANDBY button in the top corner
- The same thing happens if I use the remote control power button to enter STANDBY
- Box stops responding to remote control
- Box keeps streaming current channel
- Can't open a new stream, stuck streaming current channel

The only way to get control again is powering off the box. I get access to the box again but it restarts into STANDBY mode and it still doesn't respond to the remote control. I have to be patient and keep rebooting until I can toggle the STANDBY switch in Webif. This makes the box stop reacting again but after another restart things are normal again.

So supposedly now I have to stop using the STANDBY mode or it breaks the box.

Tested with FTA channel and IPTV channel and working normally, no problems. Ultimo4K and Uno4K SE.

So debug logs before and after menu/setup/system/logs/settings —-> enable, save to hdd/usb, local time restart and post logs
Also which extra plugins are installed

@topofdamornin2ya - may be a long shot and have nothing to do with your problem, but I saw your post regarding your new (used) Xbox USB tuner. Maybe try unplugging it and checking again? That's the only other change apart from the new image. Release 6.8.003 has been around for about a month now.

You're right, that fixes it.

Do you still want the information you asked for, or is this someone else's problem now? I can't get the logs tonight but the plugins I installed are the two drivers for the Xbox TV Tuner:
- dvb-usb-mn8847x
- dvb-usb-dib0700

I didn't install anything else.

Well, without debug logs would need a crystal ball to know what was happening with your receiver!

I've used an XBox tuner on my et8000 in the past, so must still have it somewhere.
It never caused a problem.

The dib0700 driver is what I use for my Playstation USB dual tuner. This is DVB-T (not T2). I have seen posts saying the driver is a bit unreliable in operation but it has mostly been good for me on my Vu Uno 4KSE. I did notice when I tested it first on my AX61HD, that a reboot of the receiver would cause the tuner to be reported in a "warm" state by the driver and it would not load the firmware and this would render the tuner non-functional and I had to power down the AX61 fully to recover. I have no such issues with the Vu receiver as it seems to turn off and re-initialise the USB ports on a reboot and thus the driver finds the tuner to be in a "cold" state and it re-loads the firmware. The only other thing with that driver is that it doesn't report signal strength/quality.

Logs are essential to the debugging process as otherwise we are in the dark!

I just didn't know if OpenVix was responsible for the plugins. I got the idea that they were supplied separately.

I'll get the logs and post back.

I had time to gather those logs and suddenly it seems STANDY mode works now. I can't think what I've done to fix it but If it happens again I'll post back.

It happened again, but I don't know how to get the logs off of the box! @twol's said I could save them to a usb but, my box only has one usb port (which has the tuner in it) so in the settings I chose to save to hdd. Hwo do I get them from there?

So use something like filezilla to transfer from receiver to PC and then attach here

I managed to get the files off the box, but there's an odd gap in the logs right at the time of the problem. The timestamps are local time and I noted when the issue occurred, and it's right at that time the logs go empty. The next closest entry after the problem is from me rebooting the box to try and fix it. Between that is nothing.

I noticed here was an increased log level (debug+ ?) so I've set that and will maybe get something the next time this happens.

I wanted to add an important note to the guide I created but the page now says " You have insufficient privileges to reply here. " I wanted to add that it looks like the STANDBY mode will turn the USB tuner stick OFF, so STANDBY isn't really that useful for streamers (like me) if you just want to save power. This doesn't happen with the built in satellite tuners. How can I get that added?
