ViX Team Vu+ Duo Image v2.3 - 19/11/2011

have updated with new corrections. now oscaminfo restarts box on default hd skin?

With regards to my earlier post about not being able to use the Volume control on the VU+ remote - managed to sort this thanks - with HDMI CEC enabled, i set 'Forward Volume keys' to NO - jobs a good un - thanks :)

First off great image, but after updating, having an issue with having to start MGcamd every time the box starts up. It is always active and ticked, but have to restart. Any suggestions welcome

i've rebuilt the system, loaded the software update and now oscaminfo works fine. the only thing i haven't done is map my second hard disk as described earlier. i'm convinced that this step is causing all the problems

I've just noticed that the EPG data default is now Flash.
Is this the recommended set up now? Even if you are using multiple EPG sources?
As previously I had EPG/Picon saved to HDD (with PTS enabled too so no spin up issues ;) )

im getting allot of "tune failed"

and i have to reboot the box for it to come back, is this an image thing or hardware?

the bootloader must be loaded onto a usb stick that contains nothing else, otherwise it may be corrupted causing permanent damage to your receiver.

I've updated the bootloader but it literally took 2 seconds for it to install. How can I check it's installed properly before plodding on with 2.3?

the bootloader on the Vu Duo only adds the ability for the box to use larger images than the base 64 MB. i would not worry about it as it's backward compatible with all images new and old.

Everything's up and running very smoothly!! Love the Channel Selection options and the new Night skin which is very clean and tidy.

1 thing I came across...When creating a swap file I wasn't given the option to create it on the usb stick despite having the usb stick correctly mounted (got epg and picons on it). The only option was to have the swap file on the HDD which isn't ideal. Am I missing something?
