Can't update to build 025

To be fair Phoenix there is nowhere on this forum that states it is not recommended to flash 26 from 24 unless I have missed it! Apologies if I have.

In that case I suspect you need to arrange a trip to specs savers.

Without the sarcasm where does it say you cannot flash 26 direct from 24? 25 did not work on my duo2 but 26 works a treat.

Stop trying to be a smart arse pal. Build 025 is on a totally different OE core from build 024 and all subsequent images from now on will be also, if you wish to blatantly disregard our advice not to update so be it, but don't come back here and complain to us if something goes wrong with the hardware or image on your receiver.

I don't get your personal comments, I'm not trying to be a smart arse far from it, I am new to all this and clearly not as tech minded as you, your comments do not help and shows some immaturity. Have patience with some of us, it is clear from the posts that quite a few have upgraded to 26 from 24. Also some new boxes come with old images, what are we supposed to do in that case? Flash 25 first then 26?

As per the announcement you are supposed to fresh flash the receiver to build 025 as a bare minimum, you can do this then use the online update to get to build 026, or just bypass build 025 all together and fresh flash build 026. but you should not perform a online update from build 024 or any build prior to this. There is really no other way we can explain that to make it any simpler.

That's what I did, a fresh flash to 26. I never said I did a restore and I did read your announcement. Anyway it's been interesting to chat to you Phoenix I'm sure we will again, I have learnt a lot from this site and I know I have a lot more to learn.
