What type of support thread are you creating?
Support question
What OpenViX Image build number are you using?
6.9.002
Have you tried re-flashing WITHOUT settings restore?
NO
Have you tried re-flashing WITH a settings restore?
NO
I had to reflash my Gigablue receiver due to an error message about the disk being full. After I used vix image 6.9.002 to flash the receiver, I had to setup the providers and channels again along with the epg.
The problem now is that the channel numbers are all out of order, with BBC1 being channel 3021. How do I get the channels back in order ie BBC1 was 1001 before the box crashed

I don't know what I have done but the epg in the guide has just dissapeared. I have done another scan of channels, with about 6 or 700 found but still no list of channels.
Help please

always make a BU from your list on PC so you can send it to your box after flash.DBE works perfect for that and there you can also move bouquets to get the right number for your channels

What is a BU and a DBE, if you mean a back up, well that is too late now.
Anyway now after another reboot , it sticks on the starting up page, and do tv program is visible

Is there no other way to get the guide list back and channels in or in the settings of my box

do you know how to use google then it is easy to find several answers : channel list editor linux

If you are using autobouquetmaker for the channels then make sure swap channels is selected and when is channel list press menu/configuration and set alternative numbering mode to yes.

If you can find a linux version please let me know because I can't
Actually I don't believe it can't be done on the Gigablue box with the remote

nice but maybe look at it for future so you can make listst to your preference

@bellejt, it is very unhelpful of you constantly telling people with ABM issues to use something else. Please assist with what they are doing or ask them if they want to abandon ABM before you offer alternatives.

@Robgh Just look at the options in ABM to see what they are now so you can learn what is different. Channel numbers in Enigma2 are cumulative unless you use the lcndb (you will have to read the code for it and how to implement it). ABM starts at a 1000 for every different provider. The options within each provider will determine which bouquets are created and which number the next one will be. For example, if you use the main bouquet to yes (all channels) it will have a few hundred channels. If you have FTA only, it will not have as many. The entertainment bouquet will start after the main bouquet, so the BBC1 HD in the entertainment bouquet will have a different number depending on how many were in the main bouquet.

One option is for you to go into ABM and take screenshots of each page.

end off story with responces so somebody can learn something.Glad you mentioned. Option was to have a backup instead of having to redo everything but not appreciated so conclusion ....

What did he learn? All that has happened is that he has restored a backup which also includes the options he previously used for ABM. He re-flashed because he run out of space on the internal flash memory. Restoring settings may not be the wisest choice as he could end up back on square one.

I'd prefer people with ABM issues learn how to configure ABM to work how they want it, especially if they had it correct before. Please ask ABM uses if they want to abandon ABM before you send them on a different path.

For clarity, I was using Vix image 6.9.002 before my gigablue box crashed? with the low space error message. After I removed the 500Gb disk from the box I formatted it after I copied over files and folders to my pc, then copied them back again. I flashed the box with vix image 6.9.00.1 so as to see if there was any error message about low space, but there wasn't. I then put the box back in situ and reconnected it. It was then that the minor channel problems etc occurred. I did try to sort them out but I could not, so I decided to restore a backup image, which thankfully restored the channels ti the correct order.
