[CrossEPG-Config] Crossepg hangs on reading titles - help please

Does ran crossepg on quad. Works perfectm is the radio channel now gone. great work if so.:p

does it work with xmltv then on latest image? if so, i'll just use that instead of opentv

edit, it does work - im actually now going to use XEPGDB - as it supports lots of providers, so no big deal

now on latest image!

im using opentv on both ET500 & 9200 it works but takes ages to complete! and i only seem to get 1 day of data fro monday, only started on the last few builds.

reading titels frezzing at 488kb the 5-15 mins it frezzes again
reading summaries read 1.84 MB

Exactly th same problems on my xp1000
Working properly on my solo2

lol thats not really fixing it, but its a working around

As it looks like to fix the issue, it's not a work-around (it's a one-time job only to fix it; a work-around should be applied every time).

I removed and re added but it still crashes when I set it schedule at a time . I have attached logs in previous post. Is it just me or do I need to reflash again

thats a matter of opinion - working in IT professionally, we apply lots of workarounds, when we have to wait for vendors to fix something. We apply group policy work arounds or registry changes on the affected pc's.

i simply meant, reinstalling an OLD version of CrossEPG is not fixing the issue, its working around it until the new method of CrossEPG obtaining the data using the spare tuner is fixed.

simples.

Thats the point Rob did not reinstall a OLD version of CrossEPG, he removed and then reinstalled the same version.

And before you ask: the feeds always hold the latest versions of all plugins, regardless of the image version you're using.

I updated to latest build and now crossepg doesn't hang on scheduled scan, it doesn't run at all now. But it works fine manually. Is it me or is this a known issue.

Thanks

it's working fine on my receivers both manually and on scheduled update. if possible could you create a log a scheduled EPG update and post that log here ?.

No problem phonoix, I posted the crash logs a few posts ago. How do I log the scheduled epg update, or will I just try a fresh flash.

set a schedule for say 10:40 and make sure debugging is activated then reboot the receiver at say 10 35 and just wait for the schedule to kick in, the newest log generated will be the one to contain the EPG schedule.

thanks phoenoix removed crosspeg and added it again and it worked. Thanks for all the help
